Her expertise is in business development, marketing, human resource management, trading, negotiation, governance, risk management and talent management, gained from 4 decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, including C-suite positions.

Jia Lih’s coaching skills are acquired from her vast experiences as the CEO of two Subsidiaries in Vietnam and The Philippines.

She is strong in coaching leaders especially in resilience and adaptability for she had helped PETRONAS during the challenging times to persevere and stayed resilient in the aftermath of the ASEAN Financial Crisis.

In the face of such adversity, she has developed an intense skill on understanding inter-cultural sensitivities, collaboration with trade partners, increasing governance structures and re-inventing business and risk models to stride through those difficult times. Her special strengths in human capital management enabled her to build strong and loyal teams of people to support her.

She was also the Chairman and Board of Director in several Subsidiaries of PETRONAS overseeing the strategic business tangent and good management governance.

She was one of the Top 200 Leaders in PETRONAS who was recognised for steering the Company’s strategic direction towards its core values Courage, Integrity and Professionalism.

Jia Lih is strong with corporate restructuring, a skill she gained for having reformed the total structure in the Downstream LPG and Lubricant Businesses.

She is a skillful negotiator for her impressive records in this field negotiating with many high level international clients.

Jia Lih is a graduate in Economics, had her tertiary education in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and Business Studies in Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
